Fre3dom Interiors and Impact Academy: Real World Learning

At Fre3dom Interiors, we believe that a local school district spreads beyond the school grounds. Everyone in the community has the responsibility of educating our kids and that includes local business. That’s why we’re thrilled to share our recent collaboration with Impact Academy on their Real World Learning program. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience, providing students with invaluable opportunities to work alongside industry professionals on meaningful projects.

Our team worked closely with a group of four talented students to design two classrooms within their high school utilizing video game technology and virtual reality. This project not only aimed to improve the learning environment but also to provide students with a unique opportunity to apply their creativity and design skills in a practical setting.

The classroom design project was an exciting challenge for the students. Under the guidance of Fre3dom’s instructional team, they explored various aspects of interior design, including space planning, color theory, furniture selection, as well as learning the video game design software. The students were involved in every step of the process, from brainstorming initial ideas to presenting their final designs.

The skills they develop during this experience are not only applicable to interior design but are also transferable to many other fields. One of the most significant advantages of the RWL program is that students can showcase their work on their resumes and portfolios, making them stand out to potential employers and colleges.

We are incredibly proud of the students at Impact Academy for their hard work and dedication throughout the classroom design project. Their enthusiasm and creativity were truly inspiring. We also extend our gratitude to Impact Academy for facilitating this wonderful program and allowing us to be a part of it.
