Real World Learning Gives Hands-on Experience to High School Students

Fre3dom Interiors partnered with Guadalupe Centers High School to provide a hands-on, real world learning experience. During the 10 week course, students were fully immersed in the design thinking process where they brainstormed, created prototypes and launched their own creative spaces.

Fre3dom’s instructional team guided and mentored students through the interior design process, from programming to presentation. Students sent out surveys, collected data and research from their peers and stakeholders, mocked up space planning drawings, selected furniture and even made finish and fabric selections. Through the hands-on approach students learned to solve problems using their critical thinking skills.

The group of four students utilized Unreal Engine, a video gaming technology, to create 3D renderings and a 3D virtual flythrough of their final product.
